Built in Sheffield for students who want to climb more, train together, and compete hard.
The Splinter
The University of Sheffield Climbing Club (USCC) is a student sport club built around inclusive indoor climbing and a strong competition pathway. We formed around a clear goal: make regular training, social climbing, and team progression easier to access.
Previously operating under the umbrella of USMC (University of Sheffield Mountaineering Club), we saw that our core focus, indoor climbing and bouldering/lead competitions, needed dedicated structure and resources.
With our own structure, we can support complete beginners and experienced athletes alike, from first sessions on the wall to national university competitions.
